ARBEEN

In this pilgrimage, the text of which was quoted by Sheikh Tusi from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), [4] there are very precious words. In a part of this pilgrimage, the goal of Imam Hussain’s (peace be upon him) uprising, the same as the goal of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), has been introduced. Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) sacrificed his life to save the servants from ignorance and wandering astray.

Ayatollah Javadi Amoli writes: All the works of Hossein bin Ali (peace be upon him) were to fulfill the goal of the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). It means making people aware of the tasks, then acting on them. [6]

3- events

1- The day the prisoners of Karbala returned from Syria to Madinah.

2- The day when Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari visited the grave of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

3.1 – Sayings on the return of captives to Karbala

However, there is a serious doubt that the prisoners of Karbala have reached Karbala from Syria during Arbaeen.

3.1.1 – Those who believe in the return of captives

Sheikh Mofid has mentioned in “Masar al-Shi’a”: The day of Arbaeen is the day when the Ahl al-Bayt of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) returned from Syria to Medina, and it is also the day when Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari entered Karbala to visit Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). 7]

Sheikh Tusi in Misbah al-Mutahjad [8] and Ibn Atham in al-Futuh [9] also mentioned the same thing. Mirza Hussain Nouri writes: Sheikh Mufid’s phrase is used that the day of Arbaeen is the day when the captives left Syria for Medina, not that they arrived in Medina on that day. [10]

In the meantime, Seyyed Ibn Tavus mentioned Arbaeen in “Lahouf” as the day of the return of captives from Syria to Karbala. He writes: When the prisoners of Karbala returned to Iraq from Syria, they said to the caravan guide: Take us to Karbala. So they came to the place of martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). Then they mourned and mourned there… [11]

Ibn Nama Hali also mentioned the day of Arbaeen, the day of the return of captives from Syria to Karbala and their meeting with Jabir and some of Bani Hashem. [12]
