Sayyid ibn Tawus was never unaware of the memory of the Imam of his time and had directed all his love to that Imam and had connected his heart and soul to the pure existence of the Imam of the time (pbuh) and was trying to exalt his name. Also, one of the deeds that Sayyid paid a lot of attention to was giving alms to Hazrat Sahib (AS) and he also ordered for this.
The late Allameh Majlisi quotes from the appendices of the book of Anis al-Abedin and Allameh Nouri in the book of Najm al-Thaqib: Sayyid ibn Tawus says that at one dawn in a holy crypt I heard these prayers from Hazrat Sahib (AS) who said: “O God, our Shiites You created us from the radiance of our light and our radiance. They have committed many sins relying on our love and guardianship. If their sins are the sins that are forgiven in relation to you, that you have satisfied us, and that one of their sins is related to themselves and the people, correct yourself among them. “And give them the khums that is our right so that they may be satisfied, and save them from the fire of hell, and do not gather them with our enemies in your harshness.”
Sayyid Ali ibn Tawus died in 664 AH at the age of 75 in the city of Baghdad. His body was transferred to Najaf Ashraf and buried in the shrine of Amir al-Mu’minin.
